The Center for Teaching, Research, and Learning Team supports online learning technology, in particular Canvas, Kaltura, Respondus. Our services include but are not limited to:
- Canvas training
- Online course design and redesign
- Online course review and quality control
- Help with Kaltura Video Management
- Help with Respondus for exam proctoring

Primary Responsibilities
Work with faculty or Subject Matter Experts (SME) to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate their online, blended, or web-enhanced courses
Assist faculty with management of courses in the Canvas learning management system (LMS) and promote active, interactive, and significant learning by recommending appropriate educational technologies and pedagogical strategies
Develop technological and pedagogical materials and resources such as tutorials, how-to guides, and tips to facilitate teaching and learning
Conduct online course review guided by Quality Matters (QM) Higher Education Rubric to achieve quality control
Work with faculty, staff, student success services, library faculty, and Information Technology to provide assistance as needed in our growing online initiative at Loyola University New Orleans

Kimberly Williams, Online Support Technologist

Primary Responsibilities
The Online Instructional Support Technologist assists university faculty, staff, and students with the use of Canvas and various other systems and software (such as Kaltura, Qwickly, Respondus, etc...). This position provides support to end users of the Canvas to resolve technical issues as they arise.

Primary Responsibilities
The Vice Provost for Teaching, Research, and Learning oversees the CTRL team, plans and schedules all faculty development events run through the CTRL, assist faculty with management of courses in the Canvas learning management system (LMS) and promote active, interactive, and significant learning by recommending appropriate educational technologies and pedagogical strategies.
Other responsibilities with CTRL includes oversight of the Dux Academicus Award, Marquette Fellowship, Kelly Frailing Excellence in Online Teaching Award, and the Loyola Core Badges.
The Vice Provost for TRL also serves on the Emergency Planning Team, the Threat Assessment Team, the IRB, and various other committees.
