WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A ZOOM CLOUD RECORDING IS DELETED?
When a Zoom recording is deleted, it is transferred from our Cloud storage to the Trash folder. It will sit in the Trash folder for a total of 30 days. 7 days before it is scheduled to be permanently deleted, you will received an email notification. At any point during those 30 days, you can restore the recording. But once those 30 days are up, the recording will be permanently deleted and it will be unrecoverable.

HOW DOES THE ZOOM CLOUD RECORDING RETENTION POLICY WORK?
Zoom Cloud recordings are set to auto-delete after 365 days. That means that 365 days after the recording was made, it will automatically get moved to the Trash folder, where it will be permanently deleted after 30 days. For example, any recordings you made on 01/01/21 will automatically be put in the Trash on 01/01/22. Then on 01/02/22, any recordings you made on 01/02/21 will be moved to the Trash, and so on. To prevent this from interfering with your use of these recordings, you should use Kaltura as your long-term storage and not the Zoom Cloud.
